Vanessa Africa is a sailor and freelance photographer working in the Hebridean Islands on the west coast of Scotland.

_When I go to sea as a photographer I know that I am limited to the platform of the boat, but the potential environment is vast and highly emotional; sometimes disturbing or frightening.
Combining sailing with photography has allowed me to combine adventure with art.
